what the...
you know, i get really busy. i disappear from blogging for almost a week and what... no one even notices! how depressing. oh well, i've been busy. cookie sale ends friday- yeah!!! I am so totally happy its over. finished my harry potter book, order of the phoenix, have moved on to the half blood prince. not bad, not bad i am keeping up with my reading goal. i have read hp- goblet of fire, hp- order of the phoenix, the lion, the witch and the wardrobe, and i think that is it, but its still just feburary and that is 3 novels so far. wonder how well pamela is doing? anyone else doing the reading novel challenge?
saw some good sci fi movies too. rented the new d & d movie, terrified it would be as bad as the last one but i really enjoyed. watched it 3 times. my kid 2 really like it also. my oldest liked it but it was kinda scary for her. i definatly recomend seeing it. as a good gamer i may just have to break down and buy it. when i rented it from the store another movie caught my eye- Earth Sea, yes from the novel. i liked it, too. a great story. weird fx though, in some places totally kick but graphics, then in panaramic scenic shots disgustingly fake computer stuff. but defenitly worth renting too.
went to my last scrapbooking class last night. sad it is over. i did not finish my scrapbook and it is so hard to get it done at home with kids and housework and husband and stuff. it is of my omaha trip last year. i hope to have it finished to show off at omaha this year!
cant wait to get to omaha. of course there are the holy days and stuff- passover, easter, but then we made plans to go to the zoo with dave and his daughter- yeah, and to go to kobes with mic and kris- yeah. it will be great.
i also started dungeon mastering again. had to finally decide what was behind the door that the adventures had been searching for a key for. still have quite finished it yet, luckily they havent opened the door yet, but instead decided to pick a fight with a blue dragon. oops. they had to run away and lick their wounds but the lawful good character cant leave it at that can he, no he wont let any evil creature escape so he had to go flagulat himself and then he plans to go back against the dragon again! what fun.
so yes, i have been very, very busy. oh and my oldest had a soccer season start again tonight. very busy. but i am really enjoying it. no lack of things to do with my time!
so to end here are some pictures of us gaming. man we look like such nerds! :)

hey, i noticed, I just don't start complaining about the lack of posts until it actually hits a week and you made it just under the wire. Everyone's blogs have been pretty quiet lately.
Way to go on the reading. I am about half way thru book 5 of the year myself. I think I set a goal of 25 books this year, something achievable but more than I usually read, and if I surpass it then all the better. I figure is 1031 and Ithiel couldn't hit 50 then there was no way I would, but I could probably do half.

I hit 40!
actually what I took away from the 50 book challenge last year was that I read waay too much sci fi, and I reread books too often. So the goal for this year is quality over quantity.
So I've only read 3 books this year, but only one of them falls under the sci fi category (but it was asimov, so that's ok).

caligirl- awesome. truethfully i will be happy with reading 12. that is my personal goal. i figure with everything that i do reading one a month would be great!
ithiel- congrats on the 40! that blows my mind. i think i could hit something close to that if i chose to read skinny novels (i.e. not harry potter) but i want to read what i want not based on the length.
that sounds bad, i am not saying you chose skinny novels, i wounldnt think that cuz well your you, and i'm sure you make more time to read than i do, and the whole reading faster thing that helps too! :)
angelkris- would you like to accompany us to the zoo along with 4 children? i would love for you to come too.but that doesnt get you out of the kobe's commitment, we are still on for that! and since your officially invited to the zoo, does that mean we should officially ask dave to kobes?
(side note) when your computer commands you to "enter the letters as they are shown in the image" doesnt that insult you too? as if i didnt try the first time to enter the letters shown! really!

I wanna go to the zoo, or is this trip only for those with or expecting children? I love kids but I aint't getting knocked up just to go to the zoo with you all. :)
Poni-that is an insult, especially when they use that weird font so its hard to make out what letters are there. Stupid nonword word verification. Who ever heard of a witxzl anyway?

hey pamela- i think you should count the school books, that is not cheating. i mean now that i am not in school and doing the full time mom thing i found i wasnt reading anything more than dr suess and a few magazines. isnt the whole thing about expanding your mind? count the school books!
calligirl- i know, i hate it when the font is so screwed together you can tell where a letter starts and another begins. stupid computer trying to trick you just to prove to itself that it is smarter than you! bah!
