*EDIT** when it rains, it pours. literally

not only has it been raining almost non stop here in new braunfels, i have had a heck of a month.
it all began when i took my van in for an oil change. my four tires were so bald it turns out that i was lucky i hadn't had a blow out yet. so we had to suddenly replace all four tires on my minivan. then my washer overflowed in my garage. it ran for over an hour, needless to say my garage was a swimming pool. a travesty- every one of my art portfolios was propped up on the floor. so yes, all my art work got wet. and the worst casualties were some of my pieces from junior high. :( i called jason and he came home from work early to help me deal with the emergency. by the time he arrived i was able to drain most of the water out of the garage and i had art work drying all over the house (i had to separate it so it didn't stick together). then the washer shares a wall with my bedroom closet and water stared soaking into the closet. i had to call someone to extract the water from the carpets. by the time he got here it had seeped almost halfway into my bedroom. we had to move the bed and everything and shove them into the corner to let the carpet dry so luckily we were able to spend the night at my parent house. Jason's jeep battery dies a few days later and he had to buy a new battery at work, not to mention his car desperately needs a brake job, money we had set aside until the prior events took that up. then jason dropped his phone into the dogs water, so briefly but it hasnt recovered. well at least that is free once we resign a contract with the phone company. we went to jasons dads house last week and the day before we left we noticed the freezer had stopped freezing. well we were about to go out of town and couldn't deal with it anyway so i gave all the freezer food to one of my friends (it was going to go bad anyway) and went out of town. i got back last night to discover the fridge didn't work either, all my food was bad (we grew so wicked cool mold though). it is the compressor so ta da, i got to go refrigerator shopping today. i had tons i had planned to do, just getting back into town and all and my daughter starts school next week, but no spent all day trying to find a good fridge for cheap, since we are officially broke now. my parents paid $200 towards a new fridge for us since my b-day is in 3 weeks. that was very nice. so after taxes and delivery i found a very nice whirlpool and only paid $300 of my own money. sigh. i hope that is everything. all of this has happened since july 17th, that was the fateful day of the oil change. i am starting to get slightly frustrated with it all. not to mention broke!

*EDIT* so here i am monday morning to report to you that it did not stop. yesterday morning jaden was playing with mr poni and i and he started screaming bloody murder and grabbing his arm like to was broken. after him bursting into tears whenever you touch his arm in the next hour and a half we rushed him to the emergency clinic. he had dislocated his elbow. the doctor popped it back in, after taking a bazzillion x-rays, and taught us how to do it b/c now that it happened once he is more likely to have it happen again. they sent him home with a very cute snoopy arm sling which i think he actually wore for about 30 seconds. well visit to the ER $50. (that camoe out of nat's back to school budget) but thankfully today he is great no arm pain and nothing was broken!

A hug is definatly in order.

You know, someone once said to me that life is like riding a roller coaster. I guess you just happen to get on right before it started raining. It can't rain all the time, though.

Here's to you and yours, from me and mine; hopeing the weather is changing.

Oh wow. Honey, I am so sorry! That all sounds really crappy. I'm glad you live next to so many people who care about you, your parents and friends and church and everybody else. Friends pop out of the woodwork when stuff like this happens, Ive noticed. Good luck, and let us know if Hurricane Fiancee gave you any trouble.
