feelin a little bummed.
so i had to let my web page expire this week. pooh. I enjoyed having it. made me feel validated as an artist. :( but i am working on some things. the two portraits of Omaha-ins are still coming. they are mostly complete but need some adjusting but they have to wait. i am working on my first commissioned piece- i am not paid in money but highly compensated. it is a prop for a ballet recital. my girls' ballet recital actually which is next weekend. so i need to get this baby done. it is a white picket fence that i am to adorn. so far i have vines and lady bugs and butterflies- i need to get my butt moving on some actual flowers though. it is turning out very cool.
so in other news we are starting a total money makeover with our finances with Dave Ramsey. if you haven't heard of him, look him up and read his book. it is worth the time. We cut up our credit cards last week and made a very strict budget for this month. We are going to pay off our debts! Route for us please!
And mrs poni's mother in law's car broke a few days ago. it will cost 900 $ of which she has no money. her other son will give her 700$ but we are not paying for her this time. tonight mr poni is with his mom and he is starting her total money make over. first step- come up with $200 fast! then on to saving $1000. she is 60 and her only retirement plan is drawing on her ex husbands social security. doesn't sound like a very good plan to me. so needless to say she is a financial worry for us. hopefully mr poni and get her to control her finances and start saving for her retirement. i am very afraid that she will be a huge drain, financially and other wise, as she gets older.
my son is potty training. i hope to ditch the diapers this summer. we'll see how it goes. boys are so much harder to potty train than girls. he wont even tell me when he poops his diaper. i have to just notice the overwhelming smell, but he is so reluctant for me to change it. ???? girls don't walk around in poop all day. they let you know as soon as they are done so you can get that crap off of them. boys are weird.
i had a butterfly on my hand on Tuesday. i am not very superstitious but i do believe that is a sign of good luck, and answered prayers!
dont forget your moms on mothers day- Sunday!

Good luck with your budget, honey! It feels SO GOOD to get out of debt, youll feel so much less stressed. :) Will you be posting the fence when youre done?
