two events that dont bide well together
so. my parents leave tomorrow to go on their first ever cruise! they are leaving from galvastin on a carnival cruise to the Caribbean. i am really very excited for them. i hope they have a great time.
on the other hand, when i was hanging at their house today 'cast away' came on. i have never seen this movie. it was captivating.
so of course now i have these horrible thoughts that something terrible could happen and my parents could wind up lost on some tiny island. meh.

They'll love it. My parents went on their first cruise this year for Thanksgiving, and even though there were storms and all sorts of stuff all through the week, the boat is so FREAKING HUGE - seriously, think of four high rises built together with stabilizing wings - that they couldn't even feel most of it. They ate a lot and danced a lot and got their pictures taken lookin' fancy and they were fine. :)

But didn't the guy on Castaway meet a good friend? Huh? ... kidding. They will be fine and will have a smashing good time.
