mundanity

so my day today...
woke up this morning to total chaos. my house that is. a total mess. we are thankful for all the great christmas gifts we recieved but now we have to find a place to put them. my kitchen table overflowed woth the christmas decorations that i had taken down yesterday. i stripped the christmas tree so we could put it outside, so we could move the chasse lounge back into the living room, so we could have room in my eldest's bedroom, so we scould put up her new bunk bed. which we eventaully did today. but not before i grabbed my camera to share a pictorial of my house.

this goes to show how adorably anal my husband truley is. not only does he sort the nuts and bolts but he also has to line them all up evenly in a row, facing the same direction. i love him :)










this is just part of the mess in my living room floor. all are christmas presents. this doesnt include all the presents still at my mom's house which we picked up this evening and are now snuggly in the garage awaiting a more permant home.





ahhh, a beautiful tin that my loving mommy has filled with chocolate chip cookies. yumm. they are demolished now.








i should be empting the trash but instead i take a picture of it. i did empty it several hours later.






this is my ever growing pile of clean laundry. eckkk! we were going to all sit down and fold it tonight. this we did not end up doing, much to everyone's disappointment. i know they were all looking forward to folding the laundry.








yeah! the new beds are all put together. these are for the girls, they will be sharing a room. oldest on top of course. but as nana is still living here, the girls will share the top bunk and nana gets the bottom for now. we are trying that tonight. we'll see how well it went in the am.











well, after we set up the bunk bed we had to rearrange the shelves that were on the wall. so here is the newly arrange wall. i moved everything away from the bunk bed, so they cant reach the stuff. that is why it is sitting on a shelf high on the wall in the first place.





here my two daughters and a friend play joyfully on the new bunk bed. i let them break it on by jumping all over it for quite a while. i told them they should enjoy it because i'm not ever going to let them jump all over the beds again.
